Samsung Galaxy s3, How do I connect to pc as a storage device?

by default sammy have removed this option but there is a solution if you are rooted you would need to install an app called SGS3 Easy UM which lets you connect as mass storage.

Although if you use windows, ptp and mtp work fine for file transferred. If you don't use windows, that app doesn't work well either.

I use FTP file transfer. In Windows laptop installed FileZilla open source client and in my phone Sammy GS3 FTP server apk application SwiFTP. You have to have wifi connection for the two devices though.

it connects to both windows and mac, windows easier, but still works on a mac

Yeah I go the other way and make my computer the FTP server and use a file manager for android with FTP.

i just use airdroid to transfer stuff to the phone from the pc.
