Help Samsung Galaxy S3 internal storage incorrect

Hi All,

I have a samsung galaxy S3 and when I look at my available storage I only have 7.70GB left but looking at the space that is been used that incorrect and should be alot more below is whats been used.

Storage - 11.25GB
Apps - 527MB
Pics and Vids - 17.86MB
Audio - 116KB
Downloads - 176KB
Misc - 99.32MB
Available storage 7.70GB

I have done a factory reset, wiped the cache and wiped the Dalvik cache, still the same issue I am really confused.
I am currently rooted running the stock rom and kernel, any help would be great.

Hi, it's not showing your operating system, that is probably where the discrepancy arises. For example. if you look at a formatted 1Gb drive it does not show 1Gb, always less, it's the way the system works I'm afraid. Phil

Normally when I do a factory reset it shows 10Gb or more not 7Gb.

My phone shows 12gb after a reset.

Fixed i unrooted the phone and wiped all the data and cache and back to normal.
