Help Samsung Galaxy S3

kpinks

Lurker
The night before last I connected my S3 to my computer and it was recognized right away and I was able to transfer some music to my phone. Last night I tried the same thing and the phone was not recognized by the computer? Why would this be? Is it possible that due to the phone almost being out of charge that the computer did not recognize it?

Hi Kev, it is unlikely to be the state of the battery, when you plug it into the USB port it will start charging anyway. It could be a number of things, your computer has somehow lost the drivers, the USB cable has a damaged plug, or the port on the phone is damaged spring to mind. Try a different cable, plug it into a different USB port on your computer, re-install the Samsung drivers. Phil

Are you using Kies?
If so...go to control Panel > Add Remove > Remove Kies

Use something like Airdroid to transfer files.
