Help Samsung Galaxy S4 constantly showing a syncing notification

My phone will often give me a syncing notification. It isn't jus the auto sync I tried shutting that off and it still does it. It does this every 30 sec for a few hours. I'm pretty good with phones but I can't figure out what is causing it. I have US Cellular as my carrier. Please somebody give me some ideas, it is so frustrating. I posted a picture of what it does.

do you see those 3 white squares in the top line. then the sync symbol in the 4th space. that app is sync or having trouble sinking
