The glass cracked on my S4 Mini, so I bought a replacement screen. I watched a YouTube video of a guy replacing his screen and he used a hair dryer to melt the glue and get the screen off with small tools and he did it fine. So I did the same, but it was tricky to get the screen off because the glass kept breaking into little parts. Eventually I got the whole thing off, but I was left with this blue/grey/purple surface on the phone where the screen was, but on the video when he removed the glass, it revealed the LCD screen below. There are a few bits of the greyish purple surface that have broken off and I can see a shiny black surface underneath, but I'm worried that I've removed too much because the old screen has a dark tint to it, but the new replacement is perfectly transparent. Have I done something wrong? And if I have, is it repairable? Thanks.
