Help Samsung Galaxy S5 should I buy it?

I have a Nexus 4 which I have been happy with
However I am after a change and want a phone with a larger screen.
Can you Samsung owners give me your opinions maybe please.

It has to have a good camera that enables the photos to be clear when I send them to my PC to edit.

My other option is the HTC One M8. Which seems very classy but the reviews dont seem to recommend the camera.

After a long string of HTC devices, I switched to Samsung and could not be happier. My wife went first, with an S3. It blew my HTC out of the water for getting data from the internet faster. And it always completed the task, even if reception was spotty. Same carrier, sitting side by side. My HTC's would often forget the task and I'd have to restart them once in range. I got the S4 when they were released, and it was a great phone.

The wife has moved to a Note 3 now, and I just got an S5 last weekend. Display is stunning on the S5, and battery life is excellent. Nice to have the ability to change batteries and use SD cards, too.

I just came from the Droid Maxx and my only big complaint is I'm left handed and obviously hold the phone in my left hand and I can't reach the back button with my thumb. The Camara seems good but the video Camara while using on snap chat seems grainy, not sure if that is just the app or phone. .. Battery is not as good as the Maxx but I can get through most days on one charge so I guess I can live with it...

You definitely should. Here's a photo I took in 1152x2048 pixels:

It's a great phone and I highly recommend it. It has a fantastic camera, good processors and battery, lots of customization for larger storage, and a large screen.

I am in the same boat you were in. We had always had HTC. Last year my wife jumped ship and got the S4 and I got the HTC One M7. We would be sitting next to each other and I would have 3g while she would always have 4glte. Hers always seemed to work better than mine.

In a couple of weeks when I can upgrade, we both are getting the S5.

Yep, you don't know better until you know better.

Hope you like the S5's as much as I've been liking mine.

I think the tipping point was the roll out of XLTE and how her phone was already compatible where mine was not.

But seriously, I have always been an HTC user.

I feel you, brother! There's another HTC Evo 4G LTE in my shop I use for an MP3 player that is not in the picture. Looking back at those old 6700's always makes me chuckle. Apple folks think Apple invented the smart phone. The 6700 was on the market long before the first iPhone showed up. Sure, not as slick an interface back then. But it was still a smart phone. Windows OS.
