Do you need to repair your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" because it has fallen to the ground and you now have a cracked or broken screen. The helpful techs at RepairsUniverse have put together this step by step tear down repair guide to help those wanting to replace a broken screen or other internal components on their Galaxy Tab 2 7".
This repair guide will assist you when needing to replace the following parts:

Once the back cover is removed you can then use the pry tool to release the battery connection at the bottom of the device. See figure below for reference.

6.1 Using a heat gun or blow dryer warm up the outer edges of the touch screen to loosen the adhesive holding the glass screen in place. Be careful not to over heat the screen as you could damage your LCD screen. You may find during the removal process you will have to re-heat some stubborn areas.
6.2 Insert your plastic pry tool in between the seam of the touch screen and front housing. You may find that using a second pry tool from the inside of the device would apply enough pressure and leverage to start the prying process.
6.3 Continue prying along the sides of the touch screen to release all of the adhesive holding it in place.
6.4 From here our glass touch screen has almost been fully released from all of the adhesive.
6.5 At some point you should be able to fold over the touch screen on the side of the housing where the connection is fed through the housing. From here you should be able to fully remove the touch screen.
6.6 When needing to replace the LCD screen all you need to do is push on the back of the LCD from the inner housing to remove it.

To apply and new touch screen you will need to clean up all of the old and dirty adhesive and apply fresh adhesive strips to the inner housing. This will allow you to correctly replace a glass digitizer.

- Small Phillips Screwdriver
- Small Flathead Screwdriver
- Adhesive Strips
- Heat Gun/Hair Dryer
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" Repair Guide:
- Before you start your repair you must first power off your device completely.
- Next you will also need to remove your microSD card.
- Now taking a safe open pry tool remove the back cover by releasing the clips holding it in place.

Once the back cover is removed you can then use the pry tool to release the battery connection at the bottom of the device. See figure below for reference.
- Next you will need to remove the six (6) Small Phillips Screws that hold the battery in place using shown to the left in the figure below. This will allow you to pry up and remove the battery.
- Again taking your Small Phillips Screwdriver, remove the twelve (12) screws highlighted in the figure below to the right.
- Next using a safe open pry tool to release all of the pop connectors outlined in the diagram below.
- Be careful to simply release the pop connectors and not to rip any of the flex cables.
- The two (2) bottom pop connectors secure the loud speakers in place. Once these connections are released, you may remove the 2 loud speakers.
- Once all eight (8) of the pop connectors are released carefully remove the motherboard from the device.

- 5.1 Take a Small Flathead Screwdriver and remove the button flex cable on the left side of the device, which is held in place with adhesive.
- 5.2 Remove the main camera.
- 5.3 - 5.4 Remove the two main spacers on the top right and top left. These are held in place with clips, so apply a little bit of pressure with the Flathead Screwdriver and they should pop out quite easily.
- 5.5 Remove the front camera.
- 5.6 Remove the sensor flex cables.
- 5.7 Remove the small metal cover and the small rubber grommet covering the headphone jack.
- 5.8 Remove the headphone jack/mic assembly.
