Help Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Wireless issues

TheEms2

Lurker
I have a Galaxy Tab 4 that I just got, and when I got to work I tried connecting to the wifi, and typed in the password but the Connect button was grayed out and I couldn't click it. Why is it???

According to your other thread, sounds like the WiFi is connected, but it's got some sort of landing or login page. What's that stuff about "Terms and Conditions". That doesn't sound like regular home WiFi. Who's T&C? Is this in a restaurant, mall, hotel, airport or something? Might be worth you contacting the admin of whomever is running it, see what's going and what might be needed. Sure you got the right password. The connect might be greyed until you've entered a minimum number of characters for the password, or whatever other credentials it needs.

Mike, I'm not sure if that is what TheEms2 was experiencing, the original post was in 2014. I'm confused (not that it takes much)

So this is different from the first post, I go into my wifi settings, scan for them, find my work wifi, click on it, type in my password, but the connect button won't let me click it so I can't connect. why wouldn't the option be there?

What length password have you got for the work's WiFi? Because usually unless you enter a minimum of 8 characters in the password field, connect is greyed out. An exception might be if they're only using 40-bit WEP encryption, which can have a 5 character password. But 40-bit WEP is completely insecure.
