Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 insufficient memory error

Effected

Lurker
I am having problem installing anything in to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 ,
the internal memory is completely free (16GB) , also the device 2GB memory is free ,
I've replaced the default SD card with a new 16GB SD card, but i couldn't be able to install anything instead of lot of free space.

Any one no what is the issue ?

P.S: the SD card is working properly, i factory reset the device already

First of welcome to the forums Effected,

Unfortunately you might just have a defect in hardware, causing the SD card not to be able to be read correctly. You might want to return to the seller and ask for a replacement.

Sorry :(

This is not the issue as there are already some Games available on SD card which are working smoothly,

does rooting and performing cynogen mod solve the problem ?

Hey Effected
There is no need of rooting, there is an issue with your new device. Contact the retailer from whom you have purchased your tab and demonstrate your problem. You will get a new device in replacement.

I can't replace it because I've been using it for more than a year, it was working smoothly until i restored it to factory settings
