Help Samsung galaxy tab 7.0 plus slowing down

I just got the tab about 2 weeks ago. Recently its started slowing down. It gets stuck at random times for a few seconds. The screen becomes unresponsive then resumes after a while. Youtube videos load fine, but I can't watch them at all. It gets all pixelated (for lack of other words) and even the audio sounds broken (like its in slow-mo). But the music player works fine. :/
What could be the possible reason for this? How can I fix it? Please help!

Check the settings, uncheck the one that allows programs to update in the background.

uncheck Auto update

Regarding the original post, I believe that the problem comes from the stock browser. Try using Boat Browser and put the user agent setting to anything but Android (I selected Safari). It improved the video streaming for me
