Help Samsung Galaxy Tab Version/Gameplay Question

I recently purchased new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's for my children to replace their old tablets which were Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0's. However i am currently having issues as some of the games that they play will apparently not work on the new tablets so i thought i would ask for some assistance here. below are some specs.....

Old Tablet
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

New Tablet
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0

Android Version 4.4.2

Now i know that these are different android versions and i know that could be part of the problem, however the game plays on my tablet which is the same android version as the new Tab 4.

now the games also work on my wife's tablet which is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.0 running Android Version 5.0.3 but i don't have the kernel or version numbers on that one. when i try to install the ap's from my list i just get a message saying that "Your device isn't compatible with this version". So any help anyone could give or ideas would be great. also if anyone knows when Android Version 5.0 will be available for the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 that would be cool too.

it was quite a few different games by different developers. but i did get a hold of one of them the other day and they suggested going into the app manager and clearing the cache for the Google Play App. so i went in and deleted the temp files and also cleared the cache and that fixed my problem.

it was kind of odd since these were fresh out of the box. but problem seems to be solved.
