Help Samsung Galaxy W Charging Problem

Hello Everyone,

Can you please help me?

I've just bought my Samsung Galaxy W four weeks ago. The phone operates properly until recently, i was unable to charge my phone. Whenever i connect my phone to a charger or a usb cable there is a message popping out on the screen that says "Info: Battery Disconnected" and my phone refuses to charge.

From what I've read else where, out might be that the USB port on your phone is dirty.... Heard of cleaning it with a tooth brush but I'd do more research before going ahead with this idea! Other wise take it back to the shop.
