Samsung Gear update or Root?

OK, I need some input. I know Samsung has the new update out for the Gear one and it helps battery life and all. I do not know if the new update is rootable.

So, now to my question. Would I gain more out of rooting my Gear one (it still has stock firmware that came on it) or would I be better off just updating to the new update?

If anyone has a Gear one and wants to chime in on the differences...I would appreciate it...trying to decide what to do. If the new update is rootable...then I will update and then root

Good deal. That should make my decision easy then. Didn't know if the Gear update was like the update from 4.3 to 4.4.2 on the Note 3...I.e. not rootable.

You're welcome! It's not only rootable, it's reversible. You can go back to Android if/when you want.
