Help Samsung Glide issue...battery?

Greetings! I have a Glide and for the most part I really like it. Of course I am a month out of warranty so my service provider is being less than helpful.

Here is my issue:

When not connected to wifi and I get on any app that requires data use, the phone goes to critically low battery mode after about 2 minutes and shuts down (even if the phone is at 100% charge). It will not turn back on unless I connect it to the battery charger. Once it is plugged back in, the phone will turn on and show a good amount of charge left even though it just shut down for low battery. I have no problems texting or making phone calls. It is only when I try to pull from 3G.

I did a factory reset and still having the same problem. Could it be the battery?

ETA: I did notice that the battery has the slightest bulge (bloat?) towards the bottom. Not sure if that is how the battery is designed?

Thank you!

I hate to be one of those guys that says "same problem here" and doesn't offer a solution, but I'm having the same problem here, and I don't have a solution. I bought a new battery off Amazon and it should be here in tow days... So hopefully I didn't waste $10.

In case anybody cares I got the new battery and the first thing I noticed was there was a significant bulge in the old battery compared to the new one...Which definitely is not good. I'm charging the new battery now and hopefully that solves my issue.

I replaced mine with a larger battery from Ebay.
3800 mAh with a external Charger and new back plate.

went form needing to charge every 8 to 10 hours. to charging about every 2 to 3 days.

I love this phone.. and wish new ones would come out with a sliding Keyboard.
