Samsung GS3 OEM Extended Battery???

Hey Everyone!

I JUST got the S3 today and I'm coming from the Razr MAXX. I know, I know...I went from a 3300 mAh lifestyle to a 2100 mAh lifestyle. I'm getting nervous about battery life because I DO use my phone a lot. I'm confused that the Note 2 would come out with a 3100 mAh battery but that the S3 wouldn't have an extended version available. So...I heard through droidforums.net that Samsung possibly will be coming out with a slim 3000 mAh battery before 2013???

"I read on the xda forums that someone posted Samsung is releasing a oem 3000mah battery for the galaxy s3. Hopefully at the end of the year."

Does anyone know either:

A. Is this a possibility?

or

B. If not, does anyone know where I can find a reputable (not an import) slim extended battery?

Even if I find a 2900 mAh battery or equivalent it may help me out a bit.

I and a few others on this forum have the Gorilla battery. It's pretty sweet.

4500mAh Samsung Galaxy S III Extended Life Battery

It's also only 29 bucks for the next day or so. Which is cheaper than I paid for it.
 
i would love if Samsung could get even a 2500mAh battery that would fit under the stock battery back...a 3000 would be beautiful...

as for the comparison between the Note2 and the GS3...remember...

1. the GS3 was out months before
2. i think you might be underestimating how much bigger the Note2 is than the GS3...there is a lot more room for a bigger battery...
 
I'd LOVE to have a 4500 mAh battery but I think it may be just a tad too thick in my pocket. I'm trying to get maximum battery power while keeping the thickness the same. I'd rather hold out to see is Samsung will release one hopefully soon. Even if Seidio comes out with one I'll be all over it!
 
You just can't fit a lot in the space we have. There is a 2300 mAh that someone tested playing Avatar on a loop and got an extra hour of playback than stock.
 
There are batteries on ebay that claim "up to" 3150 mAh, and that are the same size as the OEM batteries. I haven't tried them, though.

Shouldn't it not matter about the size available? I mean the Razr maxx was is ultra thin and holds a big 3300mAh battery. Maybe I'm just not well informed about this.
 
Of course space matters. The Razr maxx battery is bigger than ours, physically. Or at least it might be if it was removable.

The bigger the battery, the more mAh it can hold.
 
The S3 is a great phone with lots of features, who want to worry about battery life?
I bit the bullet and got the Hyperion 4200 mah and battery worries are over.
Yes it is thicker but not a problem to me.
