I found Root AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 Active SM G870A - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com but I think it's for AT&T only.
I moved this to the S5 Active All Things Root subforum.

I have mine rooted already, but I honestly don't remember how I did it. If my memory serves me right. I rooted it just like I did my Samsung Galaxy s3.

Doesn't Work on the s5 g870. I guess there is no root for this one.
