Root Samsung GT-s5660 root failed. Please help..

I tried to root my GIO phone for my kid according to a guide "HOW TO: upgrade your Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660 to Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)" (https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/reserve-2) and it failed already in step 3.a.
The phone restarted and get stuck with the logo "SAMSUNG" on the screen (trying to boot) but does not change even when I patiently waited over 10 minutes.
What can I do to update it or even get back to factory OS?
Thanks.

Pretty sure you are going to have to reflash back to stock. The link I posted above is a tutorial on how to do it. If the link to the firmware doesn't work, you should be able to find at Sammobile. If you can't get to download mode, might not be anything you can do.

I just tried some of the links and they are screwed up. Tutorial for your phone seemso OK but you'll have to find your downloads from another source

I've read over the guide you used in the beginning several times and 3a is just factory data reset. Once selected it could take a while to fully reboot. Hard reset preformed using guide in my first post should have worked. Might try pulling battery for few minutes and then hard reset again.

Hello,
Thanks a lot!!
Unfortunately, the phone stopped responding after the first reset and installing from file.
I don't know why..
The battery is almost always out of the phone because it's the only way to turn it off from the "SAMSUNG" reboot logo..
isn't any way for resetting the phone to factory rom by pressing any combination?
