My phone won't charge. It will only recognize the charger for a second, and only when I basically cram the charger into it. Once I let go it says it's not charging. I can't just set it down and let it charge. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution? Thanks!

The microUSB port is damaged. Use a very strong light, a magnifying glass and a toothpick. VERY CAREFULLY make sure that the center bar is in the center of the space, not up against one wall of the shell. If it's not damaged too badly, and you're very careful, you can fix it. Otherwise, it's a tossup whether the labor of putting in a new one or replacing the motherboard is cheaper. (Neither one is cheap.)
