Samsung intercept usb problems

Does anyone know why my samsung intercept doesnt have the usb icon pop up in my notifications?

You may be set to connect automatically in kies mode, or more likely yu have a bad cable. Samsung phones are very particular about the usb cables.

To check Kies mode go to menu>settings>applications>usb settings

It's there somewhere, unfortunately Samsung has decided to mix up the menus. If you ask in Samsung Intercept (Sprint) - Android Forums or Samsung Intercept (Virgin Mobile) - Android Forums they'll be able to tell you where it is.
