So I got my samsung galaxy rush about 5/6 months ago and it is already acting up. It wont charge at all. I have tried multiple chargers, I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back, and I don't know what else to do. The charging icon won't say its connected when it really is. someone PLEASE help me. I use my phone everyday and I really don't need the battery to run out and never charge again. Do I need a new battery or something?

Hello and welcome to the forums, mkate. :)

This is one of those rare occasions when a post/thread is moved out of the Introductions area and taken straight to the device sub-forum mentioned as needing support. So here we are. ;)

As to the charging issue, it sounds to me more like a cable/charging port issue.. which can be tested by using a known good cable to charge the device (via ac outlet and not USB port on computer). If it charges fine, there's your problem: the old cable.

If the problem remains, it could be the port on the device being damaged from rough handling or just dirt in there (q-tip with rubbing alcohol remedy ;)).

I'd get a new battery anyway.. depending on use, most of these batteries are about one year from needing replacement from the first day we use them, some just a matter of half that time.

Buy a new battery and see if it solves the problem.

Battery's can go bad in any phone, on the plus side at least it's a removable battery.
