I've been a Samsung fan for years, however moving from an S3 to an S4 mini on Kitkat4.4.2 am absolutely dismayed and disgusted. Samsung have put mandatory call notification widgets on the lockscreen, which for me sort of negates the point of the lockscreen. Eg. Here's your lock screen to LOCK your phone, now we are going to show all you information on that LOCK SCREEN anyway! Frankly ridiculous!
Then google more or less disable the external sd card, well they made it almost unusable.
These things can to removed/circumvented but the unit then has to be rooted, then half your apps wont work because a lot more companies are taking it upon themselves to not let their apps work on rooted systems. I recently changed banks because the Halfax in the Uk dont allow their app to work whilst rooted.
So anyway, took the S4 back and won't be buying Samsung again. I ditched Apple years ago because of their restrictive software/devices. It seems Samsung are starting to emulate the Apple idealogy e.g screw your customers!
