Samsung May Be Looking At Some Trouble

As much as I find Apple products useful and well made...I hope they don't use this as a way to jack up the price of their new iPhone because I would be pissed and hang onto my S3. Despite having numerous Apples I tend to find that most iOS users are idiots with a very low IQ. Removable battery and SD card is what made me ditch my 4S for the S3.

"Most iOS users are idiots with a very low IQ"....WoW! Just WoW! I'm glad I dont feel that way about them.

I'm curious as to how they plan on doing this? Are they going to move the December trial up to now?

looking like apple is implementing scare tactics here.

I agree. Given that the S3 out if the box bears very few similarities with an iPhone (apart from it's a rectangle, has a touch screen and makes phone calls), I think they'd be hard pushed to succeed here.

The moment you fire up the S3 you're greeted with a ripple effect lock screen followed by a TouchWiz screen with both Widgets and Icons.

Not sure how that comes even close to the first time iPhone experience.

Oh wait - I got it.

It looks so good, smooth and useful it MUST be apple since no android can look and feel this good.

Ergo Apple get to say they have now patented impressive easy to use UIs.

Besides, an iPhone is a brick compared to the smooth rounded back of a S3. It's also a significantly different size.

And yes, the S3 comes in a box with Samsung on it. Apples don't.

Good grief, as we really taking the American public for total and complete utter muppets?

Rhetorical question...

what are all iphone screen sizes? have they ever changed?

it is just funny how... an apple fan can of any degree mistake any bigger/smaller phone for an iphone. and they all know the apple logo; and apple will always proudly put that logo on their devices.

Won't be buying any Apple products, can't stand them.

But Samsung does get as close as they can to those patent infringements. Have been for a long time now. It's no coincidence that the best selling android phone maker has keep its product close to the iPhone in many ways. Yes Apple is frivolous, but anyone who says Samsung hasn't been copying has not been paying attention.

And anyone who thinks Apple hasn't been copying Android hasn't been paying attention either. Notification Bar anyone?

Well my S3 has already dropped in value. Ppl want to offer me 200-300$ for it... this is sad. I have the worse case of buyers remorse. I'm dreaming of the iphone 5..

Your SIII? A second hand device? Hell I wouldn't dream of buying a second hand device for more than 70% of its sale value. Even if this trial did not happen I WILL NOT pay you more than $350 for a device you bought a $550.

Oh, that brings down the price to $300.

Seriously, your phone is like a car. A car is worth what, $20,000 to $30,000 at the showroom. The moment it rolls out of that place after you bought it, value gets slashed by 1/3 of the original cost. Buy a phone brand new at $500, good luck selling it again second hand for more than $350.

No way I'd pay full price for a used phone. Seems to me that's what many people try to do then get mad cause no one is falling for it.
When I spend $500-600 on a phone it's because I don't have an upgrade available.
