Samsung Mesmerize has 2.2!!

The mesmerize has gotten 2.2 but its on the US Cellular network. If you check the download section of the Samsung website - its there for the downloading. This also shows the Mesmerize and the Fascinate have identical model numbers...

will this work on my fascinate???
 
Yes and no.

The kernels are totally compatible, but the ROM doesn't have Verizon-specific SMS/MMS stuff you need for those to work, and the modem is for the USC network, not Verizon. And the full Odin package... BAD IDEA.

There are already Fascinate-specific custom ROMs and kernels based on this release (EC10). Grab one of those.
