Help Samsung Mesmerize question???

So I just got the phone. I set up all my emails including my work email. Every since then my phone keeps asking for a password everytime I let it sit for awhile. Maybe 5 minutes. I am thinking this is a security feature but very annoying. I would rather use the pussle to unlock my phone. How would I change this? I think it has something to do with my work email because I put my work email password and it unlocks the phone. Anyone have similar problems? Other than that I love this phone.

What kind of email setup do you have for your work email?

imap? pop3? Are you on an exchange server through your work?

I am having the same problem. I am using an exchange server.
Our IT person came to me when he was setting up my Mesmerize and said it wanted him to enter a password so I did and now I have to enter a password all the time and it is driving me nuts. Is there a way to turn this off?

I think exchange servers don't play nice with Android email sometimes. You might want to try downloading K9 Mail from the market instead. I gave up trying to "fix" the stock email app. The Gmail app and K9 do a better job.
