Samsung note 2 turns off when locked.

My used samsung galaxy note 2 gt-n7100 turns off when i press the lock button of the phone. The phone works good when I use but only disturbs me here. It turns off most of the times I press the lock button. when I press the button again to unlock, it is off and I have to switch on again.
it is out of warranty now and cannot be taken to any store

That sounds like a faulty button. I suggest you install an app called button savior. I have used this for nearly a year and only ever press the hardware power button when i want to reboot. It gives you on screen menu home back plus power buttons. (All of which work with the stylus as well!)

hello roger,
thanks for helping. But actually the problem has worsened now. It is also now shuts off when the screen goes black after screen time-out. and shutting off every time when screen goes off even without pressing the lock button.
