I'm so sick of this phone taking so looong to charge and poor battery life. Please tell me if there's another brand out there with an s pen and decent battery.

Have you tried replacing the battery? They have a limited number of charge cycles... after that, they start to fail. You can get good replacements on eBay, Amazon or any number of mobile accessory websites.
Agreed, the Note 4 isn't known for those issues. We have a lot of happy N4 owners here.
If a new battery doesn't fix it you can try other things like clearing the cache partition, turning off unnecessary things (notifications, radios), removing apps you don't use that drain resources, etc. After that a factory reset is an option that often clears up a lot of problems.

Thanks people. I've replaced the battery a few months ago, it was ok for awhile but now hopeless too. I've cleared all the draining apps etc. I think I'm ready for another phone but with an s pen.
Me too! But the Note 5 has no SD slot for expandable storage, there was no Note 6, and we all know what happened to the Note 7. Until the Note 8 comes out this summer, we're kind of stuck. I'm right there with you, Angeldove, waiting...
