Samsung Pay Fingerprint Problem

eldong

Lurker
I am setup with Samsung pay its all setup and it works, but when I try use a card with a fingerprint there is a problem.

What happens is that I swipe up to open Samsung Pay and select the card - not problems here=. But when I try to "use the card with fingerprint" a google page opens up over the top of the Pay app. The google page has the Google logo on it and then a search bar, followed by what appears to be some of of weather/news feed. The page that opens does have a setting option but I do not see anywhere where I can tell that page not to display when I press the home button.

I can use Pay by unlocking with my PIN, but would much prefer to use the fingerprint.

FYI - my fingerprint is setup correct and I can unlock the phone with no problem.

Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is that you're pressing too hard on the home button, rather than just touching it. You shouldn't have to press on the button, but you said it works on other functions, so IDK. I have never had this problem with mine on the Samsung pay or any other usage. Sorry.

On another note why are you selecting a card, you set one as the default card and why are you using your fingerprint to pay? I unlock my phone, tap the machine, android pay does its thing and pays with the default card.

Same thing innit? ah wait yea here in the UK, i can't get sammy pay, it defaults to android pay in the play store, hence my confusion.
