Samsung Permanently Bricked?

Spudster

Newbie
Hey,

I recently bricked my galaxy 8.9 due to A bad ROM installation A few months ago, I have just gotten the money to take it to A professional tech and they said there is no way in fixing it as they have done jtag and added the original boot loaders and the device is dead and has had it.

Can A bad ROM installation permanently bricked the device and destroy the motherboard?

Didn't think A ROM can do that much damage..

Depends on what you've done? Was it definitely a ROM for your tab? If not, flashing a ROM for a different device could do it as it would mess about with partition tables etc.

Might be circumstantial? Could it be the device was going to fail anyway?

I got it on contract with A carrier brand new, It only occured once I installed A .zip wrong and hit reboot.

I think it has destroy the partition tables by the sounds of things.,

Is there anyway to repair those tables?

The rom was for A diffrent model numer and same manufactor But still diffrent tab..
