Help Samsung phone forgot pattern.

Hi everybody, my cousin has a Samsung phone and she has forgotten her pattern. I guess I'll have to do a hard reset, can someone guide me on what I need to do, how to do a hard reset on the phone?. Thank you,

Does it have an active data connection (WiFi or Cellular)? If yes, if you enter the PIN incorrectly a few times in a row, it should ask you to confirm Google account details and unlock.

Alternatively, log in to the Google account associated with the device on the Android Device Manager website and you should get the option to unlock/change the PIN there.

If you need to reset, it can be done via recovery. From memory, on most Samsung handsets, recovery can be accessed by removing the battery, reinserting, then turning on whilst holding Volume Up, Menu and Power. There should be a reset option in the menu that appears. Someone who owns a samsung should be able to confirm though.

Hi, so I tried a hard reset because she doesn't remember anything else. The phone is a model # nti9200. Which I believe is the Samsung Galaxy Mega. So when I pressed the three buttons it says loading after that it just shows me an android on its back with a red triangle with an exclamation point on it. What does that mean?. Any way around it?.
