Samsung received with default chinese

My Samsung Galaxy s4 just came in and everything is in chinese. I don't speak or read chinese. I cannot navigate through the setup screens.

The only advice I have found on how to reset the language is after the setup is complete. I can't figure out how to get there.

How do I reset the language when the phone has not been set up? I have not activated the phone yet, nor have I put in a sim card.

Appreciate any advice.

If you bought it from a dealer, bring it back. If you bought it from Samsung, bring it back.

Otherwise, it depends on where you bought it (and where you're located).

Default is Chinese after a reset? Is this a real S4 and not a fake? To find the language options, go through the settings menu, until you find a square icon with "A" in it, the top menu item should be select language one.
