Help Samsung region restrictions

Simon_Gardner

Since I've been away for a month, I wondered what the latest situation was on the Samsung SIM region restriction is? I had no problem in .dk .se or .no but I wouldn't have expected to.

Any more public pronouncements?

As far as I am aware from reading recent websites, if you activate your phone in the region that it was purchased, then it would be unlocked in other regions, to enable local sim cards to be used. However if you purchased your phone in one region and activated it in another, then it would become locked and need an unlock code.
So basically if you're in the US and buy your phone there, you must activate a sim in it in that region before say making a trip to the UK and buying a UK sim to use while you are travelling there, hope you can understand this.
