Hi,

Just wondered if I could get some advise. I've ordered my sister a Samsung Galaxy S 10.5 and just wanted to find out how it compares to the iPad in terms of performance? I'm tempted to get one for myself too, but I've heard mixed reviews about Samsung's touch wizz.

I never used a Ipad myself, but you could do a youtube search I see quite a few videos comparing to two devices side by side. Might help making the decision easier seeing them side by side.

Touch wiz is less of an issue than it use to be. Of course if you don't like it you can always install a launcher like Nova.

I too was debating on either the Ipad Air 2 or the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. and when I went to test them out I was turned off by how much vibration the Ipad Air 2 produced with the sound at only 1/4. I have had my Galaxy for a month now and love it.

Can't really say much about performance, but I just today got a Galaxy Tab S 10.5. I'd looked long and hard at the iPad Air 2 but the deciding factors for me were: 1) the Galaxy Tab S allows you to use a microSD for extra storage but the Air 2 has no SD, 2) the Air 2 has no USB port but the Galaxy does, 3) the Galaxy has lots more connectivity features than the Air 2. I looked at lots of comparisons and reviews online but in the end went with the Galaxy Tab S, which gets very good ratings.

An unrooted Android is still more flexible than a jailbroken iPad. To add: better resolution, hardware and apps that let you have more control in how you can use the device.
