Help Samsung s3 defaults not saving

Does anyone know why the default settings won't save? It has never saved since I got the phone 11 months ago... And I am officially annoyed already.

As an example if you enter anaddress into Google it asks do you want to use Internet or Google maps... Always or just once. I select always but it still asks the same question next time.

Happens to me constantly. I follow prompt's directions and clear the defaults, but it forgets which Launcher, which browser, and worst of all, when I make a phone call, it asks Phone or Skype. Help appreciated as this phone is becoming a PITA.

Do a factory settings reset and start again...
