samsung s3 mini will not mount micro sd

Hi I have samsung s3 mini I have bought a micro sd and when I try to mount it it then saying blank card so I try to format it and it doesn't do anything, I have tried another micro sd with the same answer. I have tried formating the card on the pc then puting in the phone and it is still not recognising that there 7s a micro sd init any suggestions would be appreciated

I recall that sd cards are not easy to put in on s3 minis. After you have slid the card in with contacts down are you remembering to press down and slide it back towards the top of the phone to lock it in?
