Help Samsung S3 Will not Boot Up

Boschii

Lurker
It simply stuck in Boot Loop. Here are the series of events that led up to this.
  • Was recording video
  • When finished recording 4 mins of video, phone froze up
  • Removed battery and put back in
  • Been stuck in Boot Loop hell ever since.
Tried VolUp/PowerUp/HomeButton and the result is

  • "Dead" Android with "No Command" message
  • Selected "Reboot System Now" and I get "ERROR!"
At this point I am resolved to the fact that I need to factory reset however, I have some files that never backed up that I want to get off my phone. Is there someone out there who can do this for me, or guide me through how to do it? You know who you are and you know what I am asking for: )

Thanks

The memory on your Android device is in two partitions, one for the OS (Android) and one for data (your files etc.). I'd assume that there is some corruption in the OS partition causing your problems. A Factory Reset (even through VolUp/PowerUp/HomeButton reset) will only affect the OS partition, therefore assuming your data partition isn't corrupted, you can go ahead and factory reset, and your files will still be available afterwards.
