Help Samsung S4 battery discharge when plugged

Dear All,

I have a problem with my S4. When I charge it (with original and not original chargers) the battery goes quickly down.
If I take the battery of another S4 and put it in my it charges fine
If I put my suppose to be broken battery in another phone the battery gets charged.
Should I change battery or phone??

Thanks for helping

Hi Riche,

thanks for reply. The phone doesn't show any other big issue and I guess I have no whacky setting.
A while ago, some gel stuff went into the charging plug of the phone and it was not charging properly until I clean it under a microscope. The weird thing is that when I put another battery the charging works and my battery gets charged in another phone but it drains very quickly if I put it back. When I plug the phone on the charger, I can see the sign for the charging but actually this doesn't happen. Sorry for my english!:)

I am going to suggest the original battery is End of Life, and the gel in the charge port was a coincidence.

any time you are cleaning electronics stuff, using Alcohol is a good cleaning agent and readily available. Just make sure you dry it off well before putting it all back together.

Compressed air gently works well.

Surprise!today, after 4 days of cell without charge, the alarm woke up us at 7.30 as it should have done every day. An then, once we plugged the phone, the battery was charging. I left it a home to be sure that it would have reach 100%. Later I will tell you what is going on!Thanks for help
