Lurker
So here's the situation my s4 wasnt dropped and it has no water damage. I was just texting someone and set my phone aside, once I heard I the notification ring I picked my phone up and pressed the power button and it got glitchyy like green and white vertical lines showed up. So for a day I let it rest took out the battery and such. And it worked but then once I pressed the power button to turn it off the lines would appear again and then black screen. After that I tried switching batteries, draining the battery, smack method and none worked. The led turns on and u could hear notifications but the screen is black. Btw the smack method actually worked once but never worked again. It has no cracks so the lcd is not a problem I think..... please help!

It's often known as percussive maintenance. Having a non functioning electronic device, e.g. a television set, and hitting or thumping it in the correct place, like side or top, can sometimes bring it back to a working state. Usually is only a temporary fix and not recommended by manufacturers. Sure for the OP now, a more permanent fix would be required for his phone. Seek Samsung service I think. Being an S4, it's very likely out of warranty now.

BTW had an older Sony Trinitron TV once, it would only show a good colour picture if it was placed upside-down LOL! ....correct way up it would go green. But it turned out it was the CRT that was finished, not worth repairing.

Ahh right I thought it sounded like something like that but couldn't bring myself to believe it lol.
Where do you live fvjkvxvjj (wow that's a mouthful)
If you're in the European Union your warranty is 2years so it could still be covered :thumbsupdroid:
