Samsung S4 - Can't reply/forward email

On my Samsung Galaxy S4, I can receive emails, send new emails, but I can't reply to or forward emails. I get the following - 'loading messages.' It cycles continuously. I've tried the following: deleted cached data for all apps; deleted and then added back my email account. No help. Same problem occurs whether I'm home or at work.
Thoughts/suggestions?
Thank
Gary

More details please. Are you using the default email app your S4 or an email app you've installed? Also, which email service are you using?
Offhand it sounds like there's just a configuration error, specifically the SMTP setting.

lunatic59 is correct; go to app Google Play, menu My apps & games and uninstall / restore factory version of "Android System WebView" to fix "Loading Messages..." when you attempt to Forward or Reply an email. This worked for my Samsung Note4.

You will just have to watch to see if WebView updates again and if Samsung updates it's email app to fix the compatibility issue with the new WebView.

Thank you so much for posting this solution. It has been driving me nuts for last 3-4 days (I tried every thing including deleting and recreating my account in the email client) as I could not reply or forward emails however could create a new email. I also noticed that if the email was very short in content then I was able to reply/forward.

This works, but the updates are being automatically being applied again. How can I stop the updates until this issue is resolved?

You have to go into your play store settings and turn off auto updates for apps. You'll still get the notification that an update is available, but it won't automatically apply it.

If you're looking for 'WebView' its official name is 'Android System WebView'. Should be in your Settings >> Apps menu pretty close to the top of the listing.
