Help Samsung s5 and Marshmellow problem

I am on the Rogers network and have a Samsung S5. I did the marshmallow 6.0.1 update and now I cannot access my notification menu or the tool box. The tool box gives the message system error and closes. I have tried clearing the phones cache. I have held the gear down for 10 seconds I have tried using two fingers to pull down the menu but nothing I have read or tried has worked on my phone. Anyone have a solution for this problem?

I'd highly recommend you backup all your important data (including text's and email) and then factory reset. I know it's kind of a pain to have to set everything up again, but any major system upgrade can leave a lot of stuff hanging around that can muck up your device one way or another.

That fixed my problem took me about 2 hours to get it done.
