Samsung - saving wallpaper

Noob question, apologise if already answered but can't find after searching...

After making a custom wallpaper on the Galaxy (choose picture and crop image to required size) can you save these cropped images on the phone? Or is it necessary to make custom wallpapers from your phone gallery from scratch every time?

on the magic u have to do the cop thing every time u want to change wallpaper so i assume its the same on ur galaxy
