Alrighty, so I've fallen off the face of the earth as of the last couple years with Android Dev since the Samsung SIV was supposedly unrootable. However, when I got it, I believe I used towelroot to attempt to root the device. It worked, however the lock on the samsung screen is unlocked. Rootcheck says I'm not rooted, but I can tap build and get Dev options enabled. I've been sitting on the lollipop update for a long time now since I can't do that either. So I'm pretty much in a stalemate with all options. Can someone help me attempt to figure which steps I take to either obtain real root and recovery, or factory upgrade to Lollipop, whichever is feasible.
