Help Samsung Skyrocket wifi connection problems

Just a heads up in case someone runs into the same problem.

Since yesterday I could NOT connect the phone to my D-Link DIR-615 wireless router. No matter what I tried, it would say connecting, obtaining IP address before failing.

Found the solution in a thread for the 'other' S2.

In the router itself, under Setup\Wireless Settings\WPA choose as cypher type "AES ONLY". Mine was on the option "TKIP or AES" and would not let me connect.

Changed it to AES only, rebooted the router and for the first time in 2 days was able to connect.

So far so good!!!!

Hope this helps someone.

hi guys !

i have a few question regarding my AT&T unlocked samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket, i am new to android i jumped from the iphone 4.

1- i cant understand is when i see clips on youtube performing the benchmark tests the score on a average is somewhere around 3500 - 3600 whereas my phone just gives me 2600 :S? if i was to reset it to a factory reset will it remove the unlocking (will i still be able to use it internationally as well)... if any other solution plz let me knw?

2- i have an unlocked s2 skyrocket on 2.3.5 and i am still unable to thether wifi internet unlike the iphone 4 rather on the s2 skyrocket whenever i try to activate it just gives me an error saying invalid sim or invalid data and automatically turns it self off? (and the same when i access wifi.

3- i always have some of the apps open in the background even if i clear it from the task manager it still open itself again (most common apps battry saver, antivirus etc)?

so i do not understand where am i going wrong can anyone help me on this please ????

I have the exact same router. I also have another (2wire with U-verse service)

had problems with my S2 dropping connectivity many times when connected to the 2wire modem. Switched my S2 go connect to my D-Link and haven't had any problems since
