Last I heard the Galaxy Gear only worked with a small number of Samsung devices - the Notes 3, and the S3, S4 and Note 2 if they've been updated to Android 4.3.
I found a list of devices the new Gear Fit will work with, and while it's longer they are all Samsungs. I expect the Gear 2 will be similar, so I'm afraid it doesn't look good
