Help Samsung Tab 8.9 stalled

Tab 8.9 was powered off. When attempting to power on, display showed a flashing green android market icon in the center of display.

Tried to power off but no reaction. Read somewhere about "bootloader" stuck open. Attempting to restart would void warranty. Not sure what all that means but don't want to void warrranty. When turnng it on, I may have depressed both the power and volume buttons.

Any suggestions?

Have you rooted this device or updated its recovery?

BTW, long pressing the power button (like 10 seconds) should shut it down in any state.

Don't know what "rooted" or "updating recovery" means.

I did however hold the power button for however long it took to shut the darn thing off. It seemed to be about twice as long as a regular shut down.

Restarted and has been working fine.
