This tablet cannot decide whether it needs the security pattern when I shut it down? Is there a reason or why does this happen?

can you be more specific? what do you mean it cannot decide? i do not think i know of a reason for needing a pattern to shut down the tablet. i can understand unlocking it after boot up or waking it, but not during shut down.
