Root Samsung Transform Ultra for Boost

Hi Everyone.

I have a quick question that I'm sure someone has been considering, but didn't see any dedicated links. Would it be possible to port the gingerbread OS from the transform ultra to the prevail? I don't know enough about the qualcom processors to know if this is feasible. I know there has been problems cracking the kernel. Perhaps we could Odin around it? Thoughts?

Getting Gingerbread from the Ultra is a lost cause. Its never going to work. The Ultra is ahead of the Prevail in a lot of things... front facing camera, proximity sensor, physical keyboard, notification led and not the least sheer processing power.

We'd have better luck trying to get Gingerbread from the other carrier's devices that are closer to kin to the Prevail. I've heard Virgin has one and MetroPCS has one too.

But is someone going to do it? Is it going to be worth it? Will someone with the necessary knowledge spend time to do it? We're as in the dark as you are.

i have a dsamsung admire its almost exactly thre same as the prevail (the camera is 3.2 mega pixes insted of 2.0 and the screen is 3.5 inches) but everything else is exat and this runs gb flawlessly and the optimus v from virgin has a cm7.1 port
