Samsung USB drivers interfering with fastboot drivers

hi there,
i just installed Samsung Usb drivers and then fastboot doesn't seem to work
Code: 
fastboot devices
doesn't return anything
so I checked up the device manager and noticed that my device (which is in download mode) is assigned Samsung CDC drivers and not android fastboot drivers
is there anyway I can use both together? I mean using the one without uninstalling the other?

Samsung devices don't need fastboot drivers, nor will fastboot commands work on Samsung devices...

well I didn't know that but are sure? i thought you can you fastboot to check if the bootloader is TRULY unlocked
and to get out of download mode incase you get stuck there

but still i am not sure about that
the main reason is that i have other devices ( Infinix) so i am sure i will need fastboot now and then
