Samsung won't turn on or charge?

[Android Question]

I have a samsung galaxy s2 and after using it for awhile the battery died so i put it in the charger and it turned off by itself so when i clicked the power button the 100% thing came on but when i went to turn it on it refused and now every time i go to turn it on a blue light flickers and it shows a grey battery icon and then it goes black

i just got this phone last summer and i can't upgrade or get a new one for awhile and i need a cellphone so any help would be appreciated thanks

Unplug it from the charger when you try to turn it on if you haven't already and keep holding the power button.

Try removing the battery and putting it back in.

If your carrier has a store near you, see if they have another battery you can try.
