Help Samung Exhibit II 4g Tethering Glitch

I used the Exhibit II for a day and firgured I would root it and use the tether app to see if it work work, so I download Wifi Tether and then it glitches so I shutoff the phone and uninstall it and now it redirects on the phone to get a tethering plan??!??!?!. That when I use the without wifi, I don't have any minutes or money on it atm, that may be why?

Last literature I saw said tethering was now $14.99 / month. Old Lit said it was not allowed, I guess they found a way to stop it's use and charge for it.
