No help to you but when I was researching new tabs (I have the tab 2) I came across some mentions that the Intel Atom chip in the Tab 3 might not be as compatible as the Tab 2 or 4 chips. Don't know if that's true but I ended up waiting and getting the Tab 4 for my father.
